PORTFOLIO SUMMARY


The Alkimos Alliance is constructing a wastewater treatment plant and associated 4km long ocean outfall pipeline at Alkimos approximately 50kms north of Perth. For this project Total AMS is the marine package subcontractor providing manned vessels and equipment, diving teams and associated services. Total AMS has provided a day shift crew of up to 50 personnel during high activity phases of the works. The location of the project has also required 24 hour site security coverage. The works commenced in January 2009 with scheduled project completion in 2010.

The BHPB Iron Ore RGP5 Project includes a 3.9 Mm3 capital dredging project in Port Hedland Harbour to create two new berth pockets and extensions to the departure channel and swing basin at Harriet Point. The capital dredging works contract was awarded to the Jan de Nul dredging company, with Total AMS engaged to provide vessel charter and manning services.

The Citic Pacific -Sino Iron Project includes construction of new port infrastructure at Cape Preston, a remote location isolated from the mainland by tidal creeks. Total AMS were engaged to move large items of earthmoving equipment by barge across a tidal creek during the spring tides. Critical aspects of this project included methodology, marine team co-ordination, temporary ballast management during loading and unloading, and movement using multiple tugs of a 42 metre barge loaded with large mass items during running tides and rapidly changing water levels in a tidal creek

Total AMS were selected to work with Citic Pacific to develop a marine logistics solution to support the initial site works associated with the Sino Iron Project. Total AMS customized a barge and provided methodology and services for the movement of heavy earthmoving equipment across a tidal creek at Cape Preston WA.

Onslow Salt operates a 3.5MT solar salt field with a 1.2km loadout jetty facility near Beadon Point Onslow. The shiploading facilities were constructed by John Holland Construction with Total AMS performing subcontract marine package works.

In 2007 Total AMS were engaged by Shark Bay Salt to undertake inspection and maintenance of the Useless Loop Shiploader Jetty. Inspection revealed deterioration and fatigue in key structural members above and below seabed level. A fast tracked remediation project was undertaken including excavation of the seabed and removal and replacement of damaged piling and structural members with new fabricated sections.

Since 2006 Total AMS has provided diving, maintenance, salvage services and specialised equipment supply to the developers of the Carnegie - Ceto wave energy technology. Further to completion of the CETO I salvage project, Total AMS provided installation, maintenance and support work for the CETO II project. Further to completion of the CETO I salvage project, Total AMS commenced support work for the CETO II project, and have continued to provide support to the CETO Wave Energy project.

Total AMS shipyard capability includes project management, vessel design & documentation, marine engineering, steel & aluminium fabrication, and vessel maintenance. Total AMS can build, customise or refit workboats.

The Water Corporation selected Multiplex Degremont JV to construct the 45GL Perth Seawater Desalination Plant at Kwinana WA. Total AMS Diving were engaged to execute a subcontract for marine & diving.
